Slap Mokrega potoka

(Mokri potok waterfall)

OPIS (Description)

(Mokri potok - "wet stream" - is a force of seemingly contradictory name for completely dry ravine, deep in the bosom of Visoke Ponce in Tamar. Thus, above the rocks, where it crosses the lonely paths over the so-called sheep's side, as below in the valley, just somewhere in the middle of the Dom v Planici in Tamar (maybe something closer to Dom) - except when large rainfall and the accelerated melting of snow, as evidenced by the thick bed - not even a trace of water. But the steep walls, half an hour's walk from the old road - now marked paths - in Tamar, noises 13 meters high waterfall, which is not marked on any map and almost completely unknown to locals. Without doubt this is a permanent waterfall, as we visited the worst autumn drought in early October, when many apparently permanent streams dry out. At the "high waters" access to the waterfall is probably quite difficult, since a narrow tight wet under a waterfall stream certainly fills. Permanent source of wet stream is directly above the waterfall. Water immediately plunges after rock bar in the middle of the channel, the first slump, then the free fall on the stones bulge through which is sprayed over the jets, which are reassembled under a waterfall in a small shallow pond. After a lively stream flowing just a few meters and then sinks under an irrevocable rocks and gravel and becomes part of the groundwater, which in Zelenci come to the surface as the source of the Upper Sava River.)

DOSTOP (Access)

(The quickest route is marked from Planica to Tamar, but ravine is not easy to find. After about twenty minutes walk to the right along the way unmistakable reservoir is seen. Continue the marked trail (old road) for a few minutes slightly uphill. When the slight gentle slope off site is reached, no path visible, turn right into the bush and forest. After a short penetration through vegetation reach a wide gravel from where the source of all stones around is recognised: the ravine. Finding your way through it is a short and pleasant, and sometimes jumps and climbs from boulder to boulder and from rock to rock are needed until you see a waterfall, to which you break easily. Other known access is much longer, but it deserves a description, since we are after to find this hidden waterfall. To begin with, it is necessary to give a hike on the old hunter cross road, which connects the Tamar valley gable of the mountain cirque under Male Ponce. The path is drawn only on the more detailed maps of the area, the field is only poorly marked with red dots mostly faded (this is the first step mountaineering transversal Planica-Pokljuka or PP). High in the walls of Ponce, the typical side elevation, which recalls the amazing gothic cathedral, crosses annoyingly crumbly, but not too dry ravine. This is the wet stream we are looking for. On the other side of ravine (if you go to the Tamar), on its right bank, from a distance, we see an old hunting trail that descends to the keys in the valley (PP path at the crossroads of this path go out slightly uphill and continues towards Dom v Tamarju). The path leads down through the ravine slope forest, then turns left and trough mountain pines directly in the ravine. Soon the murmur of falling water is heard and after a few moments, we are directly under a waterfall. If you find a waterfall wet stream this way, descend along the riverbed down to the marked path, as described above.)
